Legal Type opened in 1989 in a store front next to Smitty's on Grand Avenue - those were the days. Thirty two years later, we are still married and preparing tax returns. While we have seen many changes in the tax law - many clients have stayed for the 34 years.

We are IRS Registered Tax Preparers, a status granted to us by the IRS on December 14, 2012. We complete 26 hours of continuing education each year and use Drake Tax Software, which is the tax software of choice, by more than 59,000 tax professionals nationwide.

Legal Type prepares income tax returns and state returns for all fifty states. You may set an appointment or drop off your tax information and you will be notified when your return is completed. Turn around time is usually 10 days. All returns are electronically filed. Refund loans are not available.
